The School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University seeks a part-time lecturer to teach two sections of sequential narrative art and children’s book illustration beginning in the fall semester of 2025 in a lively, growing curriculum of narrative-based and book- and web-oriented graphic arts offerings. The courses in question will be available to all Tufts undergraduates and to SMFA BFA and combined degree students as well as to our master’s degree candidates.

Qualifications

Candidates must have an MFA in a relevant area and teaching experience, preferably in children’s book illustration and/or comics and sequential narrative.  Ideally, candidates will have a national publication record featuring their illustrations, either in children’s book illustration or comics/graphic novels. Text-based publication is also relevant.
