The Instructional Laboratory Specialist (STM Technology Coordinator) will serve as the technology coordinator for the School of Theatre and Music. The position requires an integrated knowledge of educational needs for both theatre and music departments as well as a deep understanding of classroom AV, basic IT skills, and music and theatre technology and production techniques involved in sound reinforcement and sound recording.

The technology coordinator collaborates with faculty and staff to advance the School’s mission to develop practical knowledge, cultural sensitivity, intellectual resourcefulness, and imagination in emerging artists and scholars. They interface with various trades and campus IT units to manage technology upgrades for the School; assist faculty in developing technology aspects of courses or curricula; work with faculty and students in courses to introduce or teach technology-related skills; may teach a course in an area of expertise; and will serve on committees as assigned.
