The Department of Theatre & Dance at the College of the Holy Cross invites applications for a full-time tenure-track appointment beginning in August 2022. The faculty member will lead, oversee all lighting, technology and design activities for the department as we move into our brand new, state-of-the art performing arts center (see here). Depending on abilities and interest, the faculty member will ideally teach in at least one other production area, such as sound design, video, VR, or online/interactive media. Design and Technology experience in non-Western theatre is highly desirable. This position carries the equivalent of 3-2 teaching load-designing sets and lights for three mainstage productions, teaching two courses (one per semester) and overseeing technical theatre practicum labs.

● A terminal degree in design or related area of expertise.
● A minimum of three to five years’ experience designing scenery and lighting in professional or educational settings.
● Proficiency with CAD software (Vectorworks or AutoCAD preferred)
