Emory University invites applications for a one-year Emory Arts Fellowship in Dance and Movement Studies beginning fall 2025. This fellowship is supported through a generous gift from Sarah Arison ‘07B.
We seek an early career dance artist whose work involves creating and performing choreography. Beginning Fall 2025, the Fellowship offers a $45,000 salary, health benefits, research funds, and support for a presentation of a choreographic or performance project, (Spring 2026). The Fellow will teach a half load of a typical tenure track faculty member. That half load is 7.5 studio teaching contact hours for the fall semester and 7.5 studio teaching contact hours for the spring semester. The fall course load is setting a work on the Emory Dance Students in the Fall of 2025 as part of the Emory Dance Company course and teaching an upper level contemporary modern techniques class. The spring course load could include but is not limited to technique of any dance form, movement improvisation, somatic practice, repertory, or creative practice. The fellow will not teach during the summer sessions.
