The College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas invites applications for a one-year position as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Art Education. The successful candidate will be research-active and could teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in art education. They will complement existing departmental faculty and college specializations in global art, visual and material culture, and curriculum and pedagogical approaches.
1-year contract (potentially renewable up to one additional year). Salary commensurate with experience.
The college’s standard teaching load for Visiting Assistant Professor positions is six (6) courses per academic year, negotiable based on specific duties. Additional responsibilities may include mentoring students, service to the college and university, maintaining an active research agenda and other types of professional development. The College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas is looking to fill up to seven (7) Visiting Assistant Professor positions conceptualized as post-degree positions with teaching expectations.
