The Department of History of Art and Architecture at Tufts University is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach an introductory-level, undergraduate studio course in Architectural Design in Fall 2024. The class meets two times a week on Monday and Wednesday 6-9pm.

The studio-based course is offered as an introduction to architectural design. Working closely with the instructor, students will learn how to analyze abstractly, represent, and create space through a series of design projects that increase in complexity throughout the semester. Learning objectives include drawing and modeling techniques, concept development, spatial thinking, multi scalar awareness, program analysis, context analysis, and many other levels of the architectural process.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Architecture and practical experience in architectural design. Teaching experience strongly preferred.
