The School of Dance at the University of Arizona seeks applicants for a full-time (in person/on campus) tenure-track Assistant Professor of Dance position starting Fall 2023. The individual in this position will contribute to the school through in-studio instruction, scholarly/creative research, and service as assigned at the School, College, and University levels.

We welcome applicants from a broad spectrum of dance practices with expertise in at least one of the genres of Hip-Hop, commercial dance, African Diaspora dance forms, and/or Latinx dance forms. The successful candidate will lead studio practice/technique courses and create concert performance works in their specified style.

The School of Dance fosters a student-centered, inclusive, and diverse learning environment that encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and conceptual analysis skills. We maintain a unique focus on performance, choreography, and pedagogy to prepare students for professional careers.
