Job Summary
- Teach applied Strings, String Methods, Chamber Ensemble, and Music Theory
- Teach related method and music literature courses. All faculty are expected to participate fully in departmental and university affairs: this includes serving on committees, academic advising, and student recruitment.

- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Candidate should have a strong record of teaching and performance excellence in directing collegiate and secondary school string programs
- Significant commitment to music performance and education.
- Sequential Teaching methodology
Essential Job Functions
- Teach String method classes
- Teach music theory and /or sight singing and aural skills
- Conduct chamber ensemble and develop string orchestra
- Teach Applied Strings
- Serve on Committees

Qualifications
The applicant must have a minimum of a Master’s degree in Music with a strong background in applied strings. College teaching experience preferred. Experience with Orchestra is a plus.
