About This Department

UMD’s Department of Theatre invites you to join our academically and artistically rigorous program. We have a passion for our work, take pride in the artistic merit of UMD Theatre productions. We offer both the Bachelor of Arts (BA) and the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree programs, allowing students to choose a path that best suits their individual aspirations and talents. Students in both programs are supported by rich and varied production opportunities, preparing them for careers in the performing arts and a wide range of related professions.
